Jesolo centro storico

Memories of an everyday life that still echoes in the streets, squares and the stories of our grandparents. A historical and cultural journey to recall our roots.

Once upon a time...

A very useful trade is certainly the shoemaker, and Jesolo has had its one for almost 70 years in the same place: Spinelli. The store is located in a building that, in 1912, was the residence of the Baffi family. In 1918, after World War I, it was the Priviero family that was involved in the production and sale of footwear until the arrival of Spibnelli in 1956, he quickly became the town’s official shoemaker and handed down this dying trade to his son Gianfranco, the guarantor of great quality work where manual skill is still essential. In the picture there is a typical vespasian of ancient italian squares that was reserved for men.
