1ST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH

Like every first Sunday of the month, admission to the state museums of Venice will be open to the public free of charge. To name but a few: Gallerie dell’Accademia, Palazzo Grimani, Ca D’Oro, the Archaeological Museum and the Marciana Library.

The largest and most exclusive exhibition in Europe on Egypt and Tutankhamun remains in Venice at Palazzo Zaguri: conceived as a temporary exhibition, given the great success it has now been extended until a date to be determined.

Biennale di Danza 2023

The 17th International Festival of Contemporary Dance, Altered States, directed by Wayne McGregor and organized by La Biennale will take place from 13 to 29 July, bringing to the stage 7 world premieres, 3 European premieres, 9 Italian premieres, with over 150 artists and 89 events. 

Biennale di Architettura 2023

From 05/20 to 11/26

The 18th International Architecture Exhibition organized by the Venice Biennale is open to visitors. This year, it is titled “Laboratory of the Future.” The works of over 89 participants can be seen in the Giardini, the Arsenale, and throughout the whole island. 

Cinemoving 2023

From 06/16 to 09/08

The Venetian film festival continues until September. With over 71 free shows throughout the municipality – mainland and islands – it has involved many people. A cinema on four wheels that travels through campi and sestieri.

Aperture Speciali 2023

FROM 04/09 to 09/30

Together with the initiative Musei in festa, Venice also offers extended opening hours for admission to many of the city’s museums, which will remain open in the evening every Friday and Saturday of the summer. The Palazzo Ducale and Museo Correr are open until 11pm.
