Toni Sartori recites Dante
The masterful performance of Toni Sartori, world-famous dantist, is ready to captivate the audience in an evocative evening promoted by the “Circolo Dante Alighieri Jesolo 2011”. On Wednesday 23rd August, from 9 p.m. in Piazza Manzoni, Sartori will perform the cantos sealed by Dante’s pen, presenting Purgatory (Canto 6) and Hell (Canto 3), accompanied by two sonnets by Shakespeare. His mastery in reciting the Divine Comedy by heart is combined with his ability to narrate with passion, giving unique performances.
Toni Sartori, an Italian-American living between Molveno and Trento, devoted himself to the study of Dante after a meeting with Vittorio Sermonti. Today he knows the Divine Comedy by heart and is recognised worldwide as one of the most authoritative Dante writers. The performance starts at 9 p.m., admission free.
