A new protocol
Reducing plastic use on the beach. This is the new agreement signed by local institutions whose aim is for greater environmental protection. The protocol was signed by the Municipality, Veneto Kioschi, state-owned itinerant food traders (Caid) and Veritas. The agreement leaves ample room for intervention from all the players. There are two new initiatives. The first concerns kiosks with the introduction of containers for food and drink in durable and reusable materials or alternatives to plastic, both for consumption on the spot and to take away. The second, at the Skipper kiosk, includes the first tap water dispenser: anyone can go with their reusable container, such as a water bottle, the staff will fill the reusable bottle with tap water at a reduced cost compared to that provided for classic half litre plastic bottles.
