“Nicola, I’m back from a ‘90 Remember evening in the Matis of Bologna…” this is the beginning of the call between Mauro Ferrucci and Nicola Parente, in this way start the amazing event scheduled on Saturday 10 June 2023 at Il Muretto. The evening pretends to last “just one night”, but has a ten-year story and has been long awaited. A series of phone calls and coincidences, some good friends and a touch of nostalgia urged Nicola Parente, former manager of Il Muretto, to organize an evening with Eighties and Nineties vibes in the disco that wrote the history of Jesolo nightlife and not only. After the great success of Saturday 4 March at Area City in Mestre, the event is repeated in its summer version at Il Muretto in Jesolo, and, in summer, it puts on a miniskirt recalling the style of the Eighties and Nineties. Il Muretto will ded- icate the second Saturday of June to this event, and will open its doors to summer in line with the philosophy of those who still believe in Saturday evening fever. Expectations are very high, also thanks to the performance of great artists from the end of the Nineties, such as Nicola Grassetto – a DJ, record producer and radio speaker – and Mauro Ferrucci, also a producer and international dj. They will be accompanied by Fabe DJ, an emerging disc jockey in Italy and abroad. The perfect combination for the protagonists of Jesolo by Night from the 80s and 90s who are back in style. Thus, if Il Muretto is a large ring rotating around the dance floor, this evening is a large circle that closes or – perhaps – an infinite cycle, a disc that never stops spinning. The highly expected and already sold-out event has its own remake jet: for the closing night on Sept. 16, the owners entrust Nicola Parente with the task of closing the dances with “The Last Night of the Muretto.” The last date doesn’t sound like a simple nostalgic revival but pumps its music on more advanced speakers than those used thirty years ago, and even more alive, because, as Snap! taught us, Rhythm is a dancer, It’s a soul’s companion.
