Educating our kids to have respect for nature: a mission for tomorrow’s adults

Raising awareness amongst children is undoubtedly one of the main missions of Tropicarium Park. But why is it such an important goal for a zoo? Educating children about having respect for nature and all living things is the best way to have a little more faith in the future. Today’s children will be tomorrow’s adults, and only by introducing a love for animals today can we hope that there will be someone ready to preserve them in the future. But as we know, to love and respect something, we must first get to know it, and the first step is to observe these life forms accompanied by someone who can share some interesting facts about them.  It’s no coincidence that at Tropicarium Park, we have many young explorers who come to visit us, intrigued by the opportunity to observe a crocodile up close or listen to the unique calls of the penguins. Not only families but also many schools visit us. Whether it’s the youngest children from nursery or older students from high school, our goal is the same: to inspire young people to marvel at the natural wonders that surround us. Experienced guides accompany classes on a journey through the animal world, providing insights into biology, conservation, and other environmental topics, tailoring all this information according to their age. Between April and May 2023, we had the visit of more than 10000 children from all regions! So, what are you waiting for? Why not tell your teacher to come and visit us?
