Come si costruisce una catastrofe
This is the title of the book by Tina Merlin, a journalist and writer from Belluno, a touching and lucid account of the events that led to the Vajont tragedy on 9 October 1963. On Friday 8 September, in Piazzetta del Bersagliere in Cortellazzo at 8.45 p.m., an emotional theatrical reading by Zelda Teatro will be staged. Marica Rampazzo and Filippo Tognazzo, accompanied by the music of Nereo Fiori, narrate the story of the two small mountain communities Erto and Casso and the tenacious struggle to preserve their traditions. At the centre of it all is tTina Merlin, who undertook to investigate, understand and tell the story of the two communities first upset and then devastated by a catastrophe that could have been avoided. In case of bad weather, the event will be rescheduled on Monday 11 September, also at 8.45 pm.
