The show that has been enchanting for 25 years
Over 500,000 spectators, international aircraft and two days not to be missed. No summer is complete without the Jesolo Air Show, one of the outstanding events on the Italian scene. The dates are Friday 1st September (for rehearsals) and Saturday 2nd September, the official day of the show. Now in its 25th year, the Jesolo event also celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Italian Air Force, being the only stage for the Veneto region. The Frecce Tricolori are ready to thrill the public with aircraft visible along the entire coastline, from Piazza Marina to Piazza Manzoni; the show centre is located on the beach in Piazza Brescia. The event began in 1996 with the participation of the Frecce Tricolori until 1998. Since 1999, the event has taken on an international character with the first exhibition of the Patrouille de France (France) and, over the years, with the participation of the aerobatic patrols USAF Thunderbirds (USA), Royal Jordanian Falcons (Jordan), Al Foursan (United Arab Emirates), Patrulla Aguila (Spain) and Patrouille Suisse (Switzerland), to name but a few, as well as performances by individuals from all over Europe such as the F-16 (Belgium), Gripen (Hungary), F-18 and Super Puma (Switzerland).
