RAINER-VEDOVA. Fondazione Vedova

Until 30 October 2022 – Fondazione Vedova, Magazzino del Sale, Zattere, Dorsoduro 266  The exhibition compares two post-war artists Emilio Vedova and Arnulf Rainer who, despite belonging to different generations and equally distant cultural contexts, shared the events of their time. 

AFRO. Dall’Italia all’America e ritorno

Until 23 October 2022 – Santa Croce 2076  At the Ca’Pesaro museum in Venice an exhibition tribute to Afro Basaldella, the undisputed protagonist of Italian abstraction and beyond. Well-known painter among the greatest of the post-war period and one of the greatest exponents of the “Informal Italian”. 

JACQUE MARTINEZ. Stagione Ticinese, Papiers de Paysages

Until 27 November  2022 – SPARC, Campo Santo Stefano, San Marco 2828 A  The SPARC space dedicated to contemporary art offers the latest works by Jacque Marinez. French painter and sculptor, he returns to Venice bringing his latest work, as usual full of questions and protests.

Until 2 October 2022 – Palazzo Cini, Dorsoduro 864 Palazzo Cini reopens with this exhibition dedicated to contemporary art, a personal exhibition by Joseph Beuys, one of the most important artists of the twentieth century.  An artist sensitive to ecological issues and a great friend of Burri and Warhol, we find an exhibition full of contemporary themes. 

DINEO SESHEE. The soul Expanding Ocean

Until 2 October  2022 – Chiesa di San Lorenzo, Castello 5069 The ocean space of the Church of San Lorenzo opens to the public with an exhibition by the South African artist Dineo Seshee Bopape, strongly desired by the TBA21 ACADEMY, offers a systematic understanding of the structures and cycles of nature in relation to art and culture. 

MARLENE DUMAS. Open-end

Until 8 January 2023  – Palazzo Grassi, Campo San Samuele, San Marco 3231  First major solo show for Marlene Dumas in Italy. Part of the monographic exhibitions dedicated to the great contemporary artists of the Pinault Collection. “Then I thought about the word” OPEN “, open and the way in which my paintings are open to different interpretations”.
