Two Gospel concerts not to be missed

Gospel Voices Family enchants and excites

Double date with gospel music this holiday season. The first is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 23, at the Vivaldi Theater, and the second on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at St. Mary Help of Christians Church in Trieste Square. Admission is free and the shows are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Performing on stage for these two music-filled evenings will be the Gospel Voices Family, an ensemble composed of a group of talented singers of African American and African descent accompanied by a band of talented musicians. The project was founded in 2018 under the artistic direction of Italian pianist and keyboardist Dario Dal Molin, known for his numerous collaborations with internationally renowned African American music artists. With their authenticity and uniqueness, the Gospel Voices Family will transport you to an evocative experience that will make you experience the emotion of a true African-American Gospel Mass, with a repertoire ranging from the ancient “work songs” and “spirituals” of classic gospel, to Christmas carols and the dynamic contaminations derived from the hip hop music of contemporary Gospel. The combination of the voices of Banji Tofade, Ekua Simons, Jasmine Ashley Terrell and Fatimah Provillon, accompanied by the artistic direction of Dario Dal Molin, create a charge of energy and emotions capable of touching the strings of the soul. An immersive experience made of sharing and love for art, rhythm and being together, a perfect opportunity to treat oneself to time together, celebrate Christmas and be moved by the most joyful and fascinating rhythms.
