Works of art for an extraordinary Advent Calendar

The fourth edition of the Advent Calendar, the Christmas-style treasure hunt conceived by artist Manuel Giacometti, started a few days ago. A hilarious game that, for 3 years now, has had all participants running through towns in the province of Treviso in search of 25 works of art hidden in the most unthinkable hiding places. For this exciting Advent Calendar, devised in 2019 to celebrate ten years as an artist, Manuel makes and hides one of his limited edition prints on Fin Art paper daily among different towns in the Marca Trevigiana from December 1 until Christmas Day.

Participants receive daily clues, through the dedicated Telegram channel, to locate the hiding place such as the name of the town, the street, the square and a photo of the place… Skill, insight and luck do the rest and whoever discovers the work first gets to keep it! This year’s edition, in addition to the towns in the province of Treviso such as Fregona, Tarzo, Sernaglia, Segusino, Cavaso, Maser, Treviso center, Monfumo, Loria, Caerano, Possagno, Refrontolo, Cordignano, Cappella, Follina, Farra, Moriago, Borso, Paderno del Grappa, Fonte, Castello di Godego, Morgano and Castelcucco includes two extra bonuses: Jesolo center and Venice center will, in fact, be among the stars of this original and unforgettable adventure that makes the arrival of Christmas truly special!

Manuel Giacometti was born in 1976 in Treviso, a beloved city that hosts many of his projects. He approached Street Art, in particular the graffiti world, thus discovering his passion for art from which he has never separated since. After his first years as a graffiti writer, he decided to devote himself to the creation of works for the public… His exhibitions met with enormous and immediate success, so much so that they guaranteed him participation in numerous collectives, competitions and art fairs. Recent activities include the campaign promoted by the Veneto region and the European community in which Manuel acted as visual testimonial for Walk of Peace, a path about peace to remember the sites of the Great War, representing the military shrine of the Venice Lido. Despite his many activities, his love for street art never ends and the artist continues to paint on city walls, lending his intervention to urban redevelopments and famous national and international street art events such as the Mural International Fest in Tirana last September, or on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Falcone and Borsellino for which Giacometti created an extraordinary mural in Salgareda. A passion, that for art, which emerges clearly from his most important collections. Stories of Portraits is an artistic journey where the protagonists are the faces of famous or common people to whom the artist gives a personal tone, giving the right relevance to the subject. Each representation is not just a snapshot of an image, but of an experience, of a story capable of triggering emotion in the viewer. The Love is the Key collection, on the other hand, is a traveling love story imprinted on digital prints, giclee prints, t-shirts and concrete hearts, in which the common thread is love, the universal key to success.

In short, between an engaging advent calendar to take home a unique work of art, digital prints and limited edition canvases, ideal for personal and sought-after gifts, it will be a Christmas filled with art and the love that comes from sharing beauty.
