Sport becomes a symbol of inclusion

From Friday 16 to Sunday 18 September, the Pala Marzotto will host the Coppa Italia and the Italian team table football championship. More than 100 athletes with disabilities from various regions of the Bel Paese, but also from abroad, are expected at the East Lido venue on Via Oriente. Up for grabs are two coveted trophies that will decree this year’s champions. The event programme has been drawn up by the Italian Paralympic Football Federation. On Friday 16 September, the qualifiers for the Italian Cup are scheduled, with matches starting at 9 p.m. and ending at 11 p.m. The following day, Saturday 17, the Italian Cup finals with the finals starting at 9 a.m. and the awards ceremony at 11 a.m. Also on Saturday at 12 noon there will be the opening ceremony of the Italian team championship, the accreditation at 2 p.m. and the start of the competitions from 3 p.m., with the end at 8 p.m. On Sunday 18 September the championship finals in the morning with the start at 9.30 a.m. and the end around 12.30 p.m. At 1 p.m. the prize-giving ceremony will take place. Three days that will focus on sport, inclusion and the feeling of sharing, during which the athletes will put themselves on the line, overcoming their limits and unleashing their potential.
