What are the benefits of water training?

Speaking of water, and therefore of swimming, we can say first of all that in addition to providing relief from hernias or spinal pain thanks to the relaxation it offers the vertebrae, it allows us to train the aerobic system and strength. With regard to aerobic, swimming involves a large part of the body’s muscles, which therefore require a massive supply of oxygen: the cardiovascular system benefits from this. With regard to strength, on the other hand, the resistance offered by the water forces the muscles (from the pectoral muscles to the back, up to the abdomen and leg muscles) to a higher effort, which consequently increases their tone and improves their efficiency and activation.

What are the best exercises for a good warm-up?

As is often the case in physical activity, there is no magic formula that is right for every occasion. There is, however, one simple rule: the warm-up must be designed and aimed at in anticipation of the activity you are going to perform. Let’s take a practical example. If we are going to have a training session in the weight room, it makes no sense to warm up with the usual 10 minutes of running (by the way, running, one of the most complex and complete movements known to our bodies, should never be included at the start of a warm-up); instead, priority should be given to mobility and flexibility exercises to lubricate the joints, followed by strength training exercises, perhaps free-body or with elastic bands.
