Jesolo centro storico

Memories of an everyday life that still echoes in the streets, squares and the stories of our grandparents. A historical and cultural journey to recall our roots.

Once upon a time...

For 4 generations, footwear in Jesolo has been linked to one specific name: the Priviero family. The historic footwear store was opened in 1884. Initially, the store was situated in the main square, Piazza 1 ° Maggio. Later, the Priviero family moved to via Cesare Battisti, where they remained until the recent termination of the business. Until the 1950s, they were known as skilled footwear manufacturerthen they began to buy them as modern retailers used to do. The clog hanging above the entrance door was a peculiar feature, a sign ahead of its time for those who lived and attended the city centre.
